How To Play Craps – Generally Play And What To Do

When the dice are “hot”, Craps is the fastest-moving, action packed casino games. It is a dice game played against the bank. It looks intimidating, but it is not that difficult to learn. Buy a set of playing cards and Craps rules, and you’ll be playing in no time. Here is everything you need to know.

How to Play Craps – The Basic Rules

The Shooter makes a come-out roll. The shooter must roll the number of the dice equal to a maximum of two (2) or roll a seven (7) before rolling a point. The remaining six (6) numbers are called the ‘point numbers’. The shooter then rolls the dice to determine the point number, which must be rolled again before rolling any other numbers. The point numbers are: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. Notice the number 10 is the number that the shooter rolls when rolling the dice to establish a point.

You want the shooter to roll the point number again before rolling a seven (otherwise known as ‘making a point’). The number seven is called a ‘seven-out’ and is a win or the shooter loses. If the shooter rolls the point number again, he must roll the dice again before rolling a seven. The remaining numbers are called the ‘point numbers’ throughout. If the shooter rolls a seven before rolling the point number a third time, the shooter loses.

Why is this one of the most complicated casino games? That’s because it is not possible to make a set. If you can make a set, you have a full house and your opponent does not have craps. If you can roll a seven-out and make your point, you have a full house and your opponent does not have craps. Check it out in the OK casinos. Be sure you know the house rules before you start playing.

Now that you know the basics, here are a few variations of Craps. Perhaps the most entertaining is the speed Craps. With this game, the come-out roll sets the scene. Before rolling the dice, you must first announce “Seven-out”, and then you let the dice roll down. You then say “One-out”, and the dice now pass to the person on your left. You must say “Seven-out” before the dice leave your hand. If you say “One-out”, the other person does not become the shooter for the next roll. However, if you say “Seven-out”, the next person can be the shooter. The last person to say “Dewavegas” is the dealer, and after the stickman pushes the dice to the dealer, the dice will be thrown.

Next, the funny thing about Craps is that the pass line bet is the same as the don’t pass bet, and the two-number bet is the same as the odds bet. Unless you are superstitious, it is difficult to remember that the pass line is the same as the don’t pass line, and the two number bet is the same as the odds bet. Each time the dice are thrown, the numbers change. The seven changed to a six, and then a five, and then a nine, and… that’s if the shooter makes his point. It’s almost the same as the difference between 1 and 2. You can lose a lot of chips by saying “One-out” or “Down” as the dice is being thrown. Don’t do it!

Knowing the proper play will make you at least as a better player than most. The overall odds of the game are against you the player, but there are strategies that will help you. You can’t memorize all the possible combinations, but keeping an eye on the roll of the dice is the best way to “triangulate” (pick the right number that often appears).

There are also a Donkey’s traverse, a Four Card Poker, and aFive Card Stud. You can’t play them properly unless you know the rules.
